Being pre-id (I only just learned that’s what it’s called) is actually a mindfuck.
For reference, that’s previously identifying as a transid for something and then completely unintentionally transitioning to cisid for it, or at least to something much closer to cisid. The usual example given is someone who used to identify as transwheelchairuser getting in an unintentional/unavoidable car accident. Although that’s far from the only form of it. That’s just the example, not my preid.
And it’s a mindfuck. You wonder if you brought this upon yourself. Like, cosmically. By reblogging flags months ago. Even though you didn’t even identify with transids when it happened. Although you also sort of did? You were just repressing. And even now you still identify closer to the transid community. To the point where you’re scared of being in spaces that you would say anyone else in your situation belongs in. Because you’re still a transid appropriator. Somehow. Even though you would say other purely transid individuals could come to those spaces! And you’re cisid but you still don’t deserve it. Maybe that’s just me hating myself and not being preid. I just… I guess I transitioned? Success? Fuck this.
If anyone else is preid and relates even a little, I would talk to you about this.
