Singapore-Malaysia 2017: Day 03 to 06
Day 03: Petronas Twin Towers, Batu Caves, and Genting Highlands
My aunt and her husband decided to take us to Kuala Lumpur for two days because, you know, a Malaysian trip's not really complete without a picture of the twin towers.
Most of the 3rd day was spent on the road. Johor Bahru to Kuala Lumpur takes about five hours. Good thing hindi uso ang traffic doon! Our trip, however, took more than five hours because, 1) our tire suddenly exploded (became flat, but it sounded like it exploded tbh); and 2) we stopped by a couple of gas stations for bathroom breaks.
So anyway, upon arriving in KL, we headed straight to see the Twin Towers. We took a bunch of pics, and I took some family videos for my travel diary.
Finally saw the Twin Towers!
Afterwards, we went to a Chinese temple near Chinatown, then headed to Chinatown for lunch and some souvenirs.

When we got outside of the restaurant, it was raining cats and dogs that we had no choice but to leave. We stopped by Batu Caves before heading to Genting Highlands.
Batu Caves is actually located in Selangor, Malaysia. It's a series of caves with limestone inside. It's also an Indian temple dedicated to their Lord Murugan, the Giant Golden Buddha near the entrance of the caves.
Note: Make sure to wear jeans when you go here because the climb up is very steep, thus requiring you to wear something long because people below might see. You can also bring your own sarong and tie it on your waist.
Day 04: Exploring Resorts World, Cable Car Rides, Going back to Johor
Day 04 was our last day in Genting Highlands, so we spent our remaining time exploring resorts world. We also rode a cable car going down the hotel so we could see the view of the highlands.
I have a fear of heights so this ride made me really nervous
The view was amazing though, so I kinda forgot about the height for a while
cutie pie!
Day 05 & 06: Johor Bahru Temples & Shopping
We spent both of our last full days late since my aunt had to go back to work. We left home around 2 pm on both days, then passed by a couple of temples before heading to the mall.

The two malls we went to were JBCC Komtar (Day 05) and Johor Premium Outlets (Day 06).
The JBCC Komtar is like our SM here in the Philippines (I don't know if it has other branches though). They have H&M, Cotton On, Birkenstock, and a lot more! I enjoyed going around the boutiques because stuff there were a lot cheaper than in the Philippines!
My mom was even able to buy 2 pairs of Birkenstocks for her and my dad for only 600 MYR (6750 PHP only!!!). I was also able to buy a new Charles and Keith wallet for only 1400PHP (and it was on sale!!). Pandora in Malaysia is also cheaper but I wanted to save my money so that I still had money when I came back to the Philippines hahaha.
Johor Premium Outlets (JPO) is like Nuvali naman. Branded items for less, and always on sale. I got a pair of Nike Kaishi Run for 165 MYR (1850 PHP) which was originally priced at 220 MYR (if I remember correctly). There was also a really good froyo place there, but I forgot the name :(
Finally tried Nando's!!! It was so good huhu
Yummy cheese tarts!
This was 7pm in JB!! I was kinda amazed when I realized that the sun sets late there hahaha
Day 07: Until next time, Malaysia!
The last day was bittersweet. I think we all cried before leaving. My aunt who lives in JB rarely goes home, so we were all sad that our week had already ended (two weeks for my other aunt and her kids).
Philippines-bound
This is it for my Singapore-Malaysia travel post! I had so much fun writing this and editing the photos. I'm excited to go on a new adventure this June-July in another country, this time, with my whole family!! So stay tuned for that blog post!
In the mean time, for more updates on what's happening with me, follow me on Instagram (@alyssastuart) and Snapchat (@alyssaxstuart). I don't post everyday, but I update those two things more than Tumblr.

So I went to the Williamsburg Premium Outlets in Virginia and this is a glimpse of some of the stuff I got (except for the jeans). I’ll try to include more photos later.
