[Negative opinion on THL characters]
Iâm sorry but I think I realized that when Iâm playing the game, Kurara is my least favorite. But outside the game I absolutely canât stand Shouma.
Kuraraâs dialogue makes me cringe bc itâs either just really mean or an uncomfortable sex joke. But I understand why people like her. I understand her role to create friction.
Meanwhile I donât want to dislike Shouma. He has it tough as is already. I tried really really hard to like him, especially since he has a connection with Takemaru. I canât pinpoint why yet. I think his relationship with Eva (at least in route 0) was super uncomfortable. I think his relationship with Takemaru is shallow at best.
Iâm not really in tune with my feelings. For example, I didnât realize Takemaru was my favorite until my friend pointed it out. The only reason why I realized Shouma is my least favorite bc I try to draw as much as the cast as I can to make everyone happy. The three I donât draw a lot are Tsubasa, Kurara, and Shouma.
I donât relate with girls at all so itâs hard for me to write for girls unless they have a gimmick. Tsubasa unfortunately has a hard gimmick for me to write for. I know I donât like Kurara but I do like to drag her for being a repressed lesbian. (Special shoutout to that person on Reddit who tried to cancel me bc âI only draw lesbians to make fun of themâ as if 90% of my art isnât just gag comics making fun of all the characters).
So it came as a shock to me when I realized, I donât like thinking about Shouma at all. And Iâm genuinely sorry to all Shouma fans. I know that sucks bc Iâm one of the few ppl whoâs willing to draw most of the cast. I feel bad when I see ppl say they donât dislike any THL character bc itâs a very harsh pass or fail with me.
