[Negative opinion on THL characters]

I’m sorry but I think I realized that when I’m playing the game, Kurara is my least favorite. But outside the game I absolutely can’t stand Shouma.

Kurara’s dialogue makes me cringe bc it’s either just really mean or an uncomfortable sex joke. But I understand why people like her. I understand her role to create friction.

Meanwhile I don’t want to dislike Shouma. He has it tough as is already. I tried really really hard to like him, especially since he has a connection with Takemaru. I can’t pinpoint why yet. I think his relationship with Eva (at least in route 0) was super uncomfortable. I think his relationship with Takemaru is shallow at best.

I’m not really in tune with my feelings. For example, I didn’t realize Takemaru was my favorite until my friend pointed it out. The only reason why I realized Shouma is my least favorite bc I try to draw as much as the cast as I can to make everyone happy. The three I don’t draw a lot are Tsubasa, Kurara, and Shouma.

I don’t relate with girls at all so it’s hard for me to write for girls unless they have a gimmick. Tsubasa unfortunately has a hard gimmick for me to write for. I know I don’t like Kurara but I do like to drag her for being a repressed lesbian. (Special shoutout to that person on Reddit who tried to cancel me bc “I only draw lesbians to make fun of them” as if 90% of my art isn’t just gag comics making fun of all the characters).

So it came as a shock to me when I realized, I don’t like thinking about Shouma at all. And I’m genuinely sorry to all Shouma fans. I know that sucks bc I’m one of the few ppl who’s willing to draw most of the cast. I feel bad when I see ppl say they don’t dislike any THL character bc it’s a very harsh pass or fail with me.

Thanks for reading. Here’s a fun fact, I need to stop going to Reddit bc they fucking hate me there. Ppl genuinely wants me to stop drawing THL bc I’m a bad writer. It doesn’t make me upset, I genuinely think it’s a fun fact.

Fluffbruary 2024 approaches!

Your mods are busy building the prompt list with words and images for our next fluffstravaganza ... and we wondered if you might want to help :D

If you've got a prompt or three to suggest —words or images— drop them in an ask and send them our way. We'll enter them into our sheet, remove any duplicates, randomize the list, and use the first 87 words/13 images for our prompts. We're looking for contributions until Dec 30, so we've got a couple days to sort the list and build the post so it's ready to go in early January to give us all time to prepare for Fluffbruary.

And this Fluffbruary will be EXTRA fluffy — it's a leap year, so we get a BONUS DAY OF FLUFF! All the woot!

Merlin Project Archive: Prep Work

D'oscail mé m'fhillteán leis an tionscadal Merlin anocht. Bhí a lán rudaí istigh ann—71 objects mar grianghraif, notaí, 's doiciméid leis an scéal agus an dialóg. Rinne mé fillteáin nua agus thug mé ainm '202__ MP Materials' orthu chun a bheith in ann amlíne an scéil a chur le chéile. Níl gach rud atá ceangailte leis an tionscadal ar mo ríomhaire glúine agus mar sin, níl siad fós i m'fhillteán, ach tosóidh mé dul trí na rudaí atá fós ann.

I opened my Merlin project folder this evening. There were a lot of things in it—71 objects like pictures, notes, and documents with the story and the dialogue. I made new folders and named them '202__ MP Materials' so as to be able to put together a timeline of the project. Not all of the elements relating to the project are on my laptop, and so there are things which are not yet in my folder, but I'll start by going through the things that are already there.

💞 Candy Heart Valentine Event Survey💞

Heyo everyone! I hope January is going well for you all! As we get closer to February the Candy Heart Event is starting soon (Jan 28!) This year I wanted to change things up and ask y'all for your thoughts on the prompts; which sentence starters you liked and which you wouldn't mind seeing replaced with new ones!

The form will be open until Jan 26, after that I'm closing it down and working on the official prompt sheet for then event. This is by no means mandatory- if y'all choose to fill out the survey I'd be incredibly grateful!
