Vector to the Heavens
She didn't have a lot of time to herself anymore, but when she did, she took the time to search every cupboard. She only did one at a time before getting distracted by something else. A friend, or colouring, or the weather outside.
But today, up in one of the bed rooms she found something peculiar under the bed. A wrapped box. Her small hands pulled it out as those bright blue eyes scanned it over. It was to be a present for someone, Sayaka as the label said, and it was wrapped up so neatly tat for all the time it had been under there, there wasn't even one tear. A lot of dust, but the pretty green wrapping still shone.
At this point, this Sayaka was probably dead, and now she was beyond curious. Well, someone could like this present, why let it go to waste?
"I hope you're ok with that..." she mumbled before gently taking the tape off, wanting to save the wrapping in case she found something her friends would like. She took her time, as she revealed a small wooden box. Inside, was a sharpened knife. Its handle fit perfectly between his small fingers.
"Wow..." she whispered. The blade was shiny, brand new, sharp. And carved into it's handle in fancy writing was, "Vector to the Heavens."
Well she knew none of her friends would like it that much. But she adored it. She could see her reflection, those big blue hues shining brightly back at her. It was light, it would work for throwing and cutting. This might just be her favourite blade.
She looked back at the writing, "Vector to the Heavens... I wonder what it meant." she smiled, "Maybe it was to tell her she was an angel... that would be cute... I guess she was a chef of some sort." shame this had to happen, and the present never delivered.
"Sayaka, I'm going to take this I'm going to use it to protect my friends! If I see you! I'll give it to you! I promise!" she placed the knife in her pocket and hid the box and wrapping under the bed for future use.
As she left the room she swore she heard someone say, "Good, thank you."
