The term ‘dude’ is a huge compliment in my family (ie SHE IS A DUDE).

I've always done it. My mom yells at me when I call another girl "dude", (or she quotes Good Burger,) but I only mean it as a term of endearment!

I also oftentimes call people "babe". Which I think she hates even more, but whatever.
