Update-An Explanation
Hey, everyone. I’m sure you’ve noticed by now that I’ve been gone for quite some time. I’m sorry for disappearing on you guys, and I would like to thank you guys for your patience. As the name implies, I will be explaining why I’ve been gone for several months.
It started last summer, when I unexpectedly lost my job. A month later, school started. About two months later, my grandmother was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer, in it’s final stages. So she moved in with my family and I, so I was helping to take care of her. Within 30 days, she died. So we had to make a last minute flight to Los Angeles for the funeral. Since then, I have had to deal with the declining health of multiple family members, as well as struggling with my own physical and mental health. I have had to deal with the loss of friends, as well as being betrayed by a ‘friend’.
So, as I’m sure you can tell, my life has been incredibly difficult and stressful for the last few months.Because of this, I have not, unfortunately, had a lot of time to write and/or draw. But I’m happy to let you all know that there is a light at the end of the tunnel. I have been applying for jobs, my family members with poor health is improving, I’m constantly doing everything I can to improve my physical and mental health, I have had overwhelming support from my true friends, and I have been working on and improving my writing and drawing.
Now, without further ado, I am very happy to announce that the Song Challenge is almost over, and I will hopefully be posting the extremely late story some time this week. Even better news, is that Candle is coming back! I have been working my ass off writing Candle so that the hiatus(which as gone on far longer than I originally planned!) will be over soon.
Now, there will be some schedule changes. Previously, I would post Candle on tumblr on the first Monday of every month. Now, I am currently the only person at Press Shift Productions that is writing stories. Actually, I’m currently the only person at PSP in general, so I’m having to do all the writing, editing, and everything involved all by myself. This has drastically lowered the speed at which I can get work done. So I will do my best to get a Candle story out each month, but I highly doubt that I will be able to post on any set day. For my artwork, I usually post that on my deviantArt at least once a month. I will be doing my best to do this again.
Again, I would like to thank you all for your patience and understanding.
-Fickle Scullery
