Anyway as an attachment to my thoughts on the last post
Ren lied about rape and sexual assault, that is something she should answer for as she has actively hurt the case of people who have actually been raped/sexually assaulted, and her actions are due to her BPD, however she still holds the blame for actually making such accusations.
Zeal is innocent of her accusations. People keep disregarding his autism, and I hate people who think autism is a general thing and not something that's a spectrum. Also the matter of innocence isn't some metaphorical dick measuring contest when accusations like this have caused all of this damage.
Looking at this situation from afar, Zeal was turning out to be one of those cases where the person accused of Sexual Assault kills themself, only for the supposed victim to admit it after the person they accused died, however since Zeal failed at suicide, we are now seeing how such a situation will pan out when the accused makes their case known after giving time to think while in care, it amazing that zeal managed to work on the document (or at the very least post it since he had 3 days + a hospital stay to write it in comparison to Ren's six months), and letting this situation go on on the basis that we should continue to give Ren support only because she claimed to be a sexual assault survivor.
This is an insult to the pressure Devs, contributors, and voice actors who left pressure, especially the ones who told Zeal to kill himself, as they actively contributed to the pressure community going into a civil war and resulted in the remaining Devs who likely knew what was going on and stayed by zeal, to be unable to speak out and to be attacked for no reason.
As much as I like voice actors like Gianni, I ultimately feel like I've been mostly avoiding suggestions that we should hold them accountable for their actions, and how they have handled this situation.
As no matter how many times you apologise for centering yourself in a situation, you are still responsible for your own level of research on something, and supporting someone on the basis that they claimed something without proof, paints you as an ignorant person, and at worse makes you responsible for what has happened.
We as a community have to hold this over their heads and hold them accountable for their actions, since if we don't, they won't realise their actions and will ultimately never address it.
The only right thing they could have done is comment that they will wait for more information to come out, and temporarily pause all work on the project until the situation is resolved. Instead they have shown that they are immature people who can't ask questions for the life of them.
Just because it makes you look good, doesn't mean you will still look good when a situation is resolved.
