MY WORK IN EXHIBITION
BRADFORD TEXTILES. SECOND PRIZE IN THE PRESTIGIOUS TEXTILES AWARD.
BRADFORD PRIZE WINNER
I was fortunate enough to win second prize in the “prestigious textiles award” category of the Bradford prize competition. I designed a children's interior print inspired by adventure and the beauty of the big wide world that is a magical mystery to children.
I made two submissions to this category, the other featuring 2 designs from my HYGGE project.
When I received the award the presenter, a representative from the company sponsoring the award spoke to me about how they thought my design was very commercial and a design that would work perfectly within current children's interior trends. This was really encouraging and the whole day was a really inspiring experience. I have come away from this wanting to develop my passion for kids fabrics and products. There is such a joy in designing for a playful , experimental environment.
I thoroughly enjoyed visiting the Bradford design campus and it was really exiting to see what other Universities across the country were working on and developing. I can see that Norwich is definitely a leading institution , and our work ran very closely along side the work of the Royal College.
