Personally,

As a parent, I believe we shouldn't be swayed by faux friendships. We don't see them coming, and yes they hurt sometimes, but like everyone else, it's just a matter of time before you see someone's true colors. Be happy that you don't have to deal with poison like that anymore... brings you down.
