good intentions at the end
For a moment his eyes rested on her and flared with and intensity her modest glance did not notice. With desire he breathed her in, and in an instant, commanded his composure to return. She spoke with honesty that was concealed with a smile; she knew all she wanted was the promise of sober sincerity she had missed on his face just a moment before. He laughed and teased her, but she found his heart too light for the convictions that love demands. So she teased in return, and to their end neither was scathed by the other. Could they have attained love? Perhaps, but neither had moved for fear that the wildness of their good intentions would forsake them.
This is me showing off for you, our great love story. I thrash my mockery about till I'm sick with it. It waves in the air, brilliant streamers of grandeur. The front is made and everyone beams at the pretty decorations. It’s all so easy once I've reasoned that everything I've ever felt could have never been felt before. Impressive, I know, but please don't forget that I'm begging you to identify with me. So here are the bits and fragments my paranoia will allow me to leave behind. I do want something real though; my core commands it. I look at death and find nothing romantic. The second it's upon us we are left isolated, wrapped only with the comfort that it is the end. I can only assume that in that final hour, all longings come to a halt and time finally earns her merit. The only solace given is that death is ours alone: to catch a breath of pure liberation without the chains of expectations we realize to late were not our own.
Oh Crissmas tree...
Got a new Christmas tree today!! So excited, and I can wait to put it up with all the pretty decorations :) All I need now is snow on Christmas... In Australia, hmm... On an other note, the New Year is looking even more spectacular!
Welcome to Dorm Tour Week! (Tip: If you click on each picture, it gets bigger!) I promise I was going to make a video but of course Mondays have turned into my busy days and I don't have time to figure out how to film something and not have to awkwardly explain to people what I'm doing, so I'll film something next week instead. ;D When there isn't as much moving around involved. :P (Also, they just started mowing the lawn outside my window, so I'm not sure if you would've heard me anyway.)
I don't know exactly how it looks to you, but my room is pretty freaking small. It's 10.5 by 14 feet, so when I first arrived it felt cramped. We've gotten used to it though. As you can see, I have a lot of posters and stuff on the walls, but I love it - makes it feel more like home. I also got these awesome adorable decals from Target that you can see on the walls.
We also each have a giant cupboard and the mirrors have a little cabinet, so between those and the space under the bed I managed to fit all of my stuff. I've even got a milk crate full of books under my bed as my own little library. :D
We have a pretty nice view, too, which is good - better than the parking lot out back, though we were woken up at like 7 in the morning by people mowing the lawn or doing construction work or something today.
I apologize for the weird lighting and the blurriness - stupid sun that looks really pretty normally but messes things up in pictures. Anyway, I hope you enjoyed the room tour and see you next week!
