G1 My Little Pony Summer Special 1986 - Pony Land Under A Spell
I can’t be the only one who thinks the Pretty Parlor looks so much like Perla’s trailer
Big Acquisition Post pt. 1!
Man, I thought my last post was big! I was jinxing myself, huh?
Just today I got a wonderful surprise in the form of this huge lot of playset accessories, including a full Show Stable, part of the Pretty Parlor, a Stroller, three as of yet unidentified combs, and, to be seen in the next part... a whole bunch of ponies in very good condition. All they, and these sets need, is a little bit of washing up.
I can't exactly figure out what all of the parts here are from, especially the little wooden bits, but I haven't had much time to look yet. I'm in the middle of finals, and this sort of surprise really made a very stressful day into a fantastic evening.

8/10/2018- Pony acquisition post #501!!!! Huge Bundle from HQG1C!
Year Released: 2018
What a great bundle, with more even coming in the mail soon! This value bundle from HQG1C included two of their adult ponies (who are on their way, can you guess which ones they are?). It also came with two new Sweet Treat sisters, super cute rearing baby ponies with a lovely marshmallow scent! They both smell SO good, and I love their simple color combos! It also came with a glitter cowboy hat, which goes great on Celebration, and the 35th Anniversary Pretty Parlor! Unfortunately I don’t have an original pretty parlor to compare it to, but it is so so so cute! It comes with most of the original (repro) accessories, but doesn’t come with all the name tags and a few other things. The playset is super cute and simple, and folds up easily. Compared to the original peachy and Twinkles, however, the repro Peachy is much more brown than her regular peach. Also, Twinkles is in the repro strawberry shortcake Custard the Cat’s mold, but it looks really nice honestly, so I don’t mind!
Original Condition: Mint!
Flaws: none
Restoration materials: none
Current Condition: Mint!
I always thought the Show Stable and Pretty Parlor were introduced in Year 2 (1984), but here they are in the 1983 Sears Wishbook alongside the Collector ponies! (And reissued My Pretty Pony.)
This does make sense since both playsets have references to the Collector ponies. Their symbols are on the flags of the Show Stable and the Pretty Parlor has name tags for the Collector ponies.
Also, there's a rare flat-foot version of Peachy. The flat foot Collector pony mold, the earliest one, had a tendency to fall on its nose so somewhere in the middle of Year One it was replaced with the similar looking but less tippy concave foot mold. Which points to some Peachy's being produced quite early. By Year 2 the flat foot pose was totally phased out.
A French eBay auction reveals some of the French namecards for the Pretty Parlor! Judging by the symbols on them, they are for Lemon Drop, Peachy, Applejack, Gusty, Pinwheel, Blue Belle, and Sparkler!
