Flutter Ponies were introduced in Generation 1 in 1985. They are similar to Pegasi but are more slender and have Butterfly-like wings. They had a mechanism on their back that when pressed caused their wings to flap.

Their wings were well known to break off easily and coming across ones with original wings still intact is rare.
