We need a few 20ft beams for a #display, but, they can only be 2x8s. This is an 8ft test of a modified #tji with diagonal lacing. An open span of 7'-4" holding a single point load of 240lbs dead weight plus a 185lb live weight showed only 1/16" deflection.
