6. talk about the worst birthday you haddude, dUDE, my seventeenth. this is how it goes: i’ve been 8551km away from home for four months when it’s my birthday, christmas is approaching, i kind of miss my family because i’ve always been with them during those festivities. i’m having some difficult moments because the girl who’d become my best friend during those months just flew back home and also other problems with my host family (i was an exchange student back then) for various reasons, but we’d driven to salt lake city to spend a couple of days there, and it’s not that bad anyway because the other exchange student that’s staying with us is also my closest friend, and i’ve been all of them that my bday is getting closer so i guess they’ll make some surprise? especially since their son’s birthday is one day before mine. lol, as if. i celebrate my birthday on skype with my family when everyone is asleep, and when they wake up they barely wish me happy birthday. not even a cake, not a thing. (i celebrate in may with my new host family, my host mom drives me to walmart to get a cake and i decorate it. it doesn’t even matter that it’s been five months, what’s important is that i’m surrounded by people who genuinely care about me)8. Talk about the thing you are most proud of.i’m proud of taking chances and doing what i feel like at the moment, without thinking too much about what i’ll think of it in the future, because it turns out i’ve never really regretted any of those decisions. i’m also proud of not saying i love you.
