I want to believe that they will reveal Big A in this finale but...well you said it, the writers lie to us constantly. I did hear though, that we would find out who Big A is before the girls, so I suppose next season could follow the girls finding out? But I don't know how they could make that stretch out a whole season...idk maybe if they started to reveal A's motives and all that...who knows.
I did read some of the books a few years ago, like around ten of them? I stopped reading though because they just stretched on and on, and I never felt connected to the characters like I do with the show. But yeah, there were a couple A's, at least from what I can vaguely remember. But yeah...I wouldn't bother with the books honestly. The show itself is complicated enough haha
