@prettyoutlaw && beth dutton ( yellowstone sc. )
" not enough prize money in the world to get me on one of those fucking things again. " she always felt the electric current running under the skin of yellowstone when she heard the hooves down by the bunkhouse. oh beth knew the value of horses, the dollars && dimes it put in daddy's pocket but the art of riding was lost on her. kayce might as well have signed up for nasa the way he trained them && rip knew how to wear them down into gentleness, a skill she might be suspicious of later. for now, she sat perched on the top rung with slivers the size utah digging into her ass watching as the horses slid to stop between competing ranch hands. " how much do you make in a night on them? "
@prettyoutlaw found a Horse
A large horse with a saddle still strapped on him means that this horse has a rider. Or, at the very least, had a rider. Now many’a things could go wrong that leave a horse riderless, but this horse seems well taken care of. His coat is shiny and well kept, the saddle is well oiled, and the horse is well-fed. There is no sign of blood, no sign of struggle.
Which rules out many of the less fortunate reasons this poor old thing would be without his rider, at least.
And so what of it? Why has this horse wandered off? Where did his rider go without him?
Ah... But a closer look may reveal the answer. The reins! A little less well maintained, it seems, as they’ve worn and broken right apart. This horse was nothing but a naughty little runaway who’s realized his reins were no longer tying him down! He whinnies, and stomps one foot at the new approacher, but otherwise seems uninterested, dropping his head to bite at the grass beneath his hooves.

send me a ♥ if you like my blog -- still accepting
Hey, thank you! This means a lot. I know we haven’t had much interaction, but you seem like a sweet person. I really appreciate the hand you offered me during this weird month, much as I’m a little distant. <3
