Went to a preview screening of the new IT movie last night!
It’s honestly one of the best remakes I’ve ever seen. They did a great job in updating the story, making IT himself even more terrifying & addressing plot holes/explaining things better.
If you’re worried about it being scary, there is just the right amount of horror and comedy. It is jumpy, but well worth seeing! You should see it in the cinema for the sound design alone.
There’s lots of little references to the original tv movie even though it’s been updated for a modern crowd. Overall, I really enjoyed it! It’s a great horror/standalone movie in its own right. They did an excellent job & I’d say it’s easily one of the best Steven King adaptations out there. Roll on chapter two!
Shout out to Fright Fest & Vue Leicester Square for having us :)
