today I was on ao3, made a filtered search, sorted by date updated to find new stuff, and I start reading Vital Signs. Read one chapters, loved it. Later I accidently closed the tab so I had to make the search all over again to find it and read further,

Back on Shakuras there totally would have been the finest Nerazim fine arts museum, so if they could evacuate all the stuff, the united protoss museum of arts would probably have a big supply of Nerazim pieces of art...lol could Tal'darim even have any exposition there?

Kaa’vaxi: That assumes that the “united” protoss museum of arts would bother to display it. It took enough work just to get weaving displayed, I doubt the Khalai will ever let us be on par with them. And, well. I would kill myself if I thought that it meant we could excavate Shakuras, but I fear it is irreversibly destroyed.

Preyasi: No, you would not.

Preyasi: Sometimes things happen, even amongst the Tal’Darim. Sometimes you get a little too high on terrazine, slightly kill some people you shouldn’t have, and then you have to steal a ship and make yourself scarce for the rest of your life.

Kaa’vaxi: More than one ship. Wasn’t the one you came in on a Nerazim ship?

Preyasi: It was a chartered shuttle. There was more than one passenger aboard. I had to steal the fee, and some “proper” clothes, but I made it work.

Kaa’vaxi: And my heart.

Preyasi: That comes later.

Kaa’vaxi: Preyasi landed on a wholly Nerazim planet. I was there, helping out with some lobbying. Did you know that Aiur has a museum for traditional Khalai arts, but not for traditional Nerazim arts? I assisted- not too visibly, of course -with getting a section for Nerazim weaving emplaced in that museum. If it calls itself a museum of traditional protoss arts, it should very well act like one. Not that I care much for those assimilationist views, of course, but politicians must pretend. And while I tried to refuse donations from those good weavers, they did insist on some blankets and rugs and other things, which the cause could use, so I had to accept their generosity.

Preyasi: You’re moralizing again.

Kaa’vaxi: Shi’Ara’s not a purist. I’ve seen terrazine withdrawal. And, well, I was curious to know why a Tal’Darim would want to be incognito. I made sure she got medical attention, of course.

Preyasi: By kidnapping me.

Kaa’vaxi: It wasn’t kidnapping! Had you wanted to leave once you were well, you could have. I would not have kept you.

Preyasi: Yes, but you’re a handsome, charming creature. And you’re too weak to use your powers to protect yourself. You needed protection, and no other protoss is suitable to do so.

Kaa’vaxi: And I love you.
