❝I’m not arresting any unsuspecting vigilante on sight, if that’s your question.❞ Her smile that she donned in the wake of her words was playful, pushing forth a light-hearted air between them as she tossed another unconscious body onto the pile. ❝Just between you and me, I’m not exactly... fervent in my civic duty against unregistered folk.❞ Which was putting it lightly, knowing full well that she was beyond lackadaisical when it came to other “law breaking heroes”. Technically, it wasn’t her job anyway, having been given the role of Homeland Security for the Avengers and outside of it. Though, she suspected that wasn’t going to last for much longer. It was only a matter of time before the shadows behind the scenes started coming into the light--and start drawing up battle-plans for their newfound “weapons”.
So, until then, she wasn’t about to do anything to anyone. Much less someone as dutiful and capable as The Huntress.
❝So, you don’t have to worry. ...But something tells me if you really were worried, you’d already be out of here.❞ Call it her own sparkle-infused intuition, but she had the feeling the other heroine would have simply bee-lined it out of this warehouse if she felt she was in any monumental danger. Or, maybe she was lingering around for the sake of some fleeting curiosity. Either way, Carol preferred the company, as she dropped the last unconscious thug into the pile that they had taken out together. By the time Carol had arrived, a tip off about a warehouse used for smuggling weapons and the like, Huntress was already there in the thick of it. For the brief time that they kicked ne'er-do-well butts together--she kind of thought they made a good team.
Sauntering over to the brunette, she offered an extended arm with an open gloved palm to shake, her smile wide and inviting as she gave a bare tilt of her head, golden locks spilling past her shoulder. ❝I’m Carol. Pleasure to meet you. Nice to know you live up to your impressive and admirable skill set, Huntress.❞
