teddy sees her and it’s like he’s in high school again. his heart has begun to race, and his mind floods with memories of him and nadia. honestly, he can’t figure out why he’s surprised that she’s there -- he’s the one who’s out of place anyways -- but still he’s staring and maybe he should look away but he can’t. it isn’t like he’s hung up on her. maybe once he would have said that he was, but too much time has passed and all he ever feels when he thinks of her is maybe some wistful nostalgia. another minute passes ( or maybe it’s five ) but finally teddy makes up his mind to say hello. he figures it’s better to bite the bullet sooner rather than later -- odds are he’d be seeing her again throughout the night, and he’d rather that he be the one to say something to her than have it be the other way around. he takes a deep breath before walking towards her. reaching out, he taps her on the shoulder, saying, ❝ long time, no see, hasn’t it been ? ❞

throughout the night, lacey would continue to shift and adjust her dress. while red WASN’T the color she would have chosen, gabi convinced her to do otherwise. as she followed the brunette around the room, she kept fidgeting. “ are you SURE this red isn’t a little too much ?! ” she questioned, second thoughts running around in her mind.
