The two main ideas behind cloud computing are to allow companies to scale their computer needs and also to share high end computer resources amongst many companies at once. The advantages of this are that companies are only paying for the exact amount of time that they use the cloud computers and the companies also get to use high end computers without having to maintain, replace, or repair those computers. It all boils down to saving money in the long term scheme of things without sacrificing quality!
So, you as a musician are a lot like our "companies" in the cloud computing example above and we, as Studio 301 are a lot like Amazon. You want quality recordings, but you don't always want to pay for a dedicated chunk of studio time all at once, you just want to pay for it only when you need it! You've also probably noticed the burden of maintaining, repairing, and replacing components of home recording studios and home DAW's (Digital Audio Workstations). Well, the answer is that by piecemeal-ing our services, many musicians will be using our studio for short periods of time versus only a few musicians for long periods of time and the more musicians we have taking advantage of our individual services, the lower we can drop the price point for each of our services. It's similar to how the shared computer resources are used in cloud computing. We maintain the studio, recording gear, and DAW's and in return we are supported by our large customer base that only uses what they need when they need it!
