It’s an absolute dream to have @yearsandyears play one of the biggest platforms in the world- THE PYRAMID stage!!! Then to use that platform to try and change the world for the better!!!! I am bursting with pride and gratitude that I’m part of something so special, bold, brave and important- QUEER IS BEAUTIFUL- and @ollyyears you are the most beautiful soul of all. (Eugh that speech) ❤️🧡💛💚💙💜❤️🧡💛💚💙 Every piece of this show tells a story, from the ‘police’ (@balletboyz) shutting down Olly’s performance (not far from reality if we’d been in any of the 72+ countries where it’s not ok to be gay) to the beautiful gay kiss 👨‍❤️‍👨to the celebratory @pxssypalace throwing shapes.... to the 1600 sq ft hand sewn flag cape...I could go on 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏 @mjmjs and I almost had a breakdown pulling this show together! I had the pretty depressing task of compiling homophobic comments from Y&Y’s socials to flash up on the screens and we’ve just had an influx of more so we know we must’ve done a good job! 🌈🌈🌈🌈🌈🌈🌈🌈🌈🌈🌈🌈🌈🌈🌈🌈🌈🌈🌈🌈🌈🌈 Huge love to the whole team that pulled this together- @jayrevellcreates @thomas_nicol @stevendown @nickroyal and the rest 🥰 #queerisbeautiful
