Great Day spent in the Mountains. Completed my Winter Trifecta on Black Bear. Did not see another hiker at all. Being in the mountains always humbles me and reminds me how small I am and how tiny my problems are. Yes I am wearing a helmet. I’m all about being safe regardless of how silly it may seem. I have smacked my head numerous times on branches and hiking solo in winter conditions means ice and potential slipping. Well I would prefer to keep my head safe from branches but also if I slip and fall I want to make sure my head stays intact. Mind needs to be kept sharp for those potential mishaps.
