I skipped April’s digest because I had like, minus amount of energy, but the good thing is that this stretch of work is almost over. Yay!
What’s up: I recently got a garden plot and have been working on it almost every day! The plot was in a very bad shape after the previous tenant so we have been mostly cleaning it up. Here is even a photo of me working on my saplings for those who are curious!
My birthday is also coming up in three weeks :3 My favourite thing is that horse chestnut trees are usually blooming by then. It feels like summer.
WIP: @kkobweek is in full bloom and I’m challenging myself with some different characters and techniques! Looking forward to seeing everyone’s work!
Sales and shop news: May the 4th marks a new era in my digital shops – all dinluke art books will be available in a single bundle at a smaller price. Stay tuned!
Also, I’m putting together a new art book with all my obkk work, including all naughty work. That will be up before the end of May, I hope!
A show I’m recommending: Go For It, Nakamura-kun!! premiered in Crunchyroll earlier in April, and two eps deep I must say that it’s funny, light-hearted and realistic (they use the word ‘gay’!) It’s wholesome but not too sugary, the focus being on personal growth rather than in romance.
A video I’m recommending: The Simpsons - Death of an Artstyle explores a truth: the Simpsons are actually not yellow. A super interesting take on style and decline of it in The Simpsons, and how conformity kills all creativity and uniqueness, and how technical development doesn’t always mean better quality.
Music I’m recommending: An all-queer band MUNA released a new single Dancing On The Wall and it’s a perfect disco-indie pop beat to imagine your otp to – I mean, enjoy the spring air.
I wish you guys a peaceful May, see you soon!
