It just occurred to me that for MC to be chosen for the mission, Narmer and al. would have to pick MC over the MCs with other backgrounds.
Does anything influence their different decisions in each route? Was there disagreement over which MC to take?
Wishing you good health, wealth, happiness and strong WiFi.
What a great question! :D
Qenna was generally in favor of noble or thief. A bit more leaning to noble because Qenna already knows a lot about them and the thief, being a stranger, was a bit more of a liability.
Narmer was more in favor of captain.
The priest is a wild card. They only come into the picture after you survive the ceremony in the palace garden, so ONLY when you play that origin. In that case, everyone will start favoring the priest because the priest suddenly has a massive reason to help them.
The thing that eventually tips the scale in a specific MC's direction, in noble's case, is the fact that you get attacked by the high priest and Qenna convinces Narmer to take you along because there is something clearly going on in the background. If you're not playing the noble, the attack won't happen. (or at least not at that time)
For the captain, it's the fact that you are removed from your position as captain, no matter what you do. Which makes the captain a good candidate because 1) you suddenly have a lot of free time and 2) are in need of urgent employment. If you don't play the captain, he will only get demoted by the governor later, once you all are already out of town.
If you are playing the thief, then none of the above things happen to tip the scales in another MC's favor, so Qenna will take a gamble on you to honor MC's grandfather's memory.
Thank you for the blessings, I wish the same to you 🙂↕️
