Okay after the song post idea for Big E I wanted to make some headcanons
Basically this is based off of This Post I made about Big E and him singing really old songs by 30k/40k standards.
An that got me thinking what songs does The Emperor associate with his sons? Well, let me tell you!
st Primarch, Lion El'Jonson: By the Weight of the Chain by Falconbridge Music. Big E sees this song as perfect fit for Lion because of his stotic, yet chivalric nature.
nd Primarch, Tyrannus (Original Character): Before he left, Carry On my Wayward Son by Kansas. After he left, Calypso by Sail North. Now there isn't a 2nd Primarch recorded, this my interpretation of them. Anyway the 1st song basically relates to him being a wayward soul, especially being raised by orks. So Big E sees a lot of potential with Tyrannus and his abilities. After he 'left', Calypso made a more fitting song due to his uncontrollable nature he produced and caused.
rd Primarch, Fulgrim: Pre Heresy, Something Just Like This by The Chainsmokers and Coldplay. Post Heresy, Rush by Troye sivan. Simple to explain, Fulgrim before the heresy was a kind soul and wanted the best and Big E did see that. But after, his connections to Slaanesh, made him dive first into the extreme pleasures of life, especially after killing ferrus. It was his way to forget what he had done, a rush of pleasures and senses that could stop him from feeling.
th Primarch, Perturabo: Sharks by Imagine Dragons. Perturabo has always been on edge due to the fact that most of his life was in a constant state of mistrust and deceit. Not something you get over easily.
th Primarch, Jaghatai Khan: Black Betty By SpiderBait. The beats mixed with Khan's need to be fast, makes sense for The Emperor. Khan never truly slowed down unless he was told to do so and even then, it was rare.
th Primarch, Leman Russ: Valhalla Calling By Mircale of Sound. His son is very Viking coded, which always confused him. But, the song fits him, Russ wild nature and brash exterior. But even with that Big E sees him as strong albeit reckless leader for his sons.
th Primarch, Rogal Dorn: Riptide By Vance Joy. The song always felt like a contradiction with Dorn, but the emperor felt that this song fit him too well for some reason. Big E can't remeber what the song's meaning is again but it fits Dorn.
th Primarch, Konrad Curze: Wrong side of Heaven by Five Finger Death Punch. Curze never really had a chance in the Emperor's Opinion and felt how he had failed him in more ways than one. Even though, Curze did try at first, but lost himself.
th primarch, Sanguinius: Sleeping in the Cold Below, Cover Version by Colm R. McGuinness. A son he personally lost, because of his actions....
th Primarch, Ferrus Manus: Famous Last Words by My Chemical Romance. Proud, hot head, but even with that he was loud and proud until the very end.
th Primarch, [Redacted]: Chippin In, Kerry Eurodyne Cover. This one is a bit of a wild one, but Big E would think of this song every single time of his 11th son. Especially with how he found him the first time around.
th Primarch, Angron: How Did You Love by Shinedown. With the nails in his head and being in a constant anger and hate, yeah the concept of actually loving is most likely foreign to him at this point. Plus his hatred of the emperor after taking him away from his found family.
th Primarch, Roboute Guilliman: Eternity by Alex Warren. How does your son move forward after everything he has gone through? How? and yet he still does, he doesn't have a choice anymore.
th Primarch, Mortarion: Bleed it out by Linkin Park. He knows death, he's been on the edge, it was his life and still is. Even if he is now a follower of chaos. The specter death will always follow him.
th Primarch Magnus The Red: Dear Maria, Count Me In by All Time Low. Magnus has always been by Big E's side mentally with their psychic talks and connects so it feels fitting for this song in Big E's opinion. Even after falling to chaos.
th Primarch, Horus: Pre Heresy: Punkrocker by Teddybears. Post Heresy: I will Not Bow by Breaking Benjamin. Big E was as much as he could be with his kids, Proud of Horus. He thought he would have been the one to change everything. But, not in the way he did.
th Primarch, Lorgar: Pre Heresy: Inertia by AJR. Post Heresy: Burn Butcher Burn from Witcher Series. Lorgar was a loyal son, in the sense of religious fervor. Which never jived with BIG E. An when he turned traitor he fell into it hard and make more fanatical.
th Primarch, Vulkan: Hammer and Anvil by Longest John. Pretty self explanatory in this case, besides ferrus, this songs fits Vulkan quiet well since he focus on creating rather than fighting. Plus the kindness that he exudes, Big E can see that.
th Primarch, Corvus Corax: Hells Coming with Me by Poor Man's Poison. Also self explanatory, after the Drop Site Massacre, his only goal was revenge against all the traitor legions, especially Lorgar.
th Primarch, Alpharius & Omegon: Leave it all Behind by Cult to Follow. The twins basically abandoned their positions after turning traitor abandoning their adoptive father, Malcador. Big E still has not forgiven himself.
OKAY!!!! That took longer than expected.... but it is finished! Let me know what you guys think of the answers I have and any suggesstions about other stuff about headcanons!
