Here’s more work for that magical ‘girl’ comic I’m making, I decided to tweak things a lot. (A LOT)
I’m planning on having that previous drawing (the monochrome pink girl) being a previous incarnation, and Alex here is the current incarnation. His powers are also different since I ditched the unicorn crap (It was an okay idea at the time and gave for a unique sorta weapon look, but I didn’t really like it.) Instead, I based it on the primary colors (for computers, since I made the main character pan and I like the colors magenta, cyan, and yellow more than red, blue, and yellow.)
Also, ignore the crappy design methods for clothing, it’s easier just to make a ‘paper doll’ and layer the clothes on after. His magical girl outfit took me three hours to get a good grasp on (I couldn’t figure out what I wanted and I didn’t have my Pinterest board for inspiration like normal.
I messed around with tones in his emotion busts since I’m not sure if I’m going to be doing the full comic on tapas, lineart and color, or if I’m going to have a sketched/toned version (maybe with minimal colors) on tapas and then have the full version on Patreon for my $1 tier.
Anyways, I just have the other main characters concept sheets to do, some concepts for the city it takes place in (Or I say F is and have it take place in a city that’s real, like St. Louis which is a 4-hour drive from me rn.) Then I’ll get working on the reference sheets, cover, and height charts (That’s important, really important.) All in all, I hope to have the first chapter of the comic up by March sometime. (Note, the comic is currently called Primary Hero, but that is subject to change.)
