Every so often I randomly remember that Alan was considered for the Prime Candidate Program like??? Sure it was mainly focused on Jesse and Dylan, but Alan was considered like- it just blows my mind how they barely know anything about him, they only suspect that he’s a Parautilitarian, and they still considered that he would be a good Director like- the last thing my boy needs is to be governing something.

Go through the documents and recordings you can find in the Prime Candidate Program, as well as Jesse’s comments about it: It’s pretty clear the FBC knew, or could know, exactly where she was and what she was up to at any given point. They could have intervened and driven her either toward or away from the Oldest House if they wanted. But instead, they just watched. Maybe the FBC took Dylan and let Jesse go to see if she would retain her prime candidate traits without being trained from a young age.

Ranking the people that are in the Prime Candidate Program on how well they would be as Director!

Jesse Faden: 9/10

She is truly the best option. She begins the game mostly looking for Dylan and is basically thrust into the role of Director, but she does phenomenal! She embraces the role at the end and even though she doesn’t trust the Board, she doesn’t let that affect how she works as Director, instead she just lets the Board and the Former do their own things, mostly interested in helping the Bureau and I can tell she is going to try her best to get rid of corruption and conflict that is in the Bureau.

Alan Wake: 3/10

He’s not the worst option, but he’s not a good option. He is short tempered and, as he described himself, a manic depressive. He has struggles with Alcohol and struggled with his success, so I don’t think he would handle many people looking at him for answers very well. Not to mention he frankly needs a break. I think if he gets help then maybe he has a potential of being an okay Director, but as it is, he truly is in no position to be a Director.

Dylan Faden: 0/10

He might’ve been a good option had the Bureau not abducted him and treated him less than human, keeping him locked up and making him wear an outfit that says ‘P6’ like they treated him horribly. Honestly after all he has been through I’m glad he isn’t Director, he needs to be far away from the Bureau as possible, or at least have the Bureau change drastically. He lost his childhood because they took him and tried to shape him to be a Director, and it backfired horribly.

I don’t know much about Yoshimi Tokui to give an opinion. The three main people that we know that were Prime Candidates (Jesse, Dylan, Alan) each have their own individual issues they have to work through, but as it currently stands, Jesse is truly the best option for Director, with Alan being not a good option but not the worst, and with Dylan he should not be Director, mostly for his own sake as he should be allowed to live his life after being locked up for years.

Honestly the whole Prime Candidate Program sounds interesting and it could work, but the Bureau fumbled so hard with Dylan that I think they shouldn’t do the Prime Candidate Program anymore, or if they want to keep it to not have it involving them ABDUCTING CHILDREN!!!!!!
