I don't know how she did it, but our girl Koine worked some production magic and managed to survive their obvious bussing attempt. She probably won't win, because of the hype the other three have gotten all season, but at least she made it into the finale like she deserved!
Yes! Like we all know she’s not gonna win (in fact, she’ll probably get 4th place lmao), but at least she ended up in the finale. That’s a lot better than a lot of other contestants that deserved the same.
I actually feel like the producers are pushing for a Lex/Taylor/Kiki/Kaylee finale (though I think there's a chance Logan will make it in instead of one of them). It's no accident those 4 magically got the exact dances that could get them votes (Kiki will get thirst votes and voted for the canes) on the night that determines the double elimination, while Koine got Ballroom again and Logan got African Jazz (which was good, but is not historically a style that gets votes outside of the pimp spot).
And I’m not surprised that Mark left, because he basically had the same dance for 3 weeks (not his fault) and became very forgettable. I’m preparing myself to use the #JusticeForKoine tag since she’s obviously getting bussed.
Also, as much flack as we give Kiki for not really being great outside of his style a majority of the time, he really stuns me with his solos every week. Ballroom guy solos usually aren’t great because they’re not used to dancing alone, but he always knocks it out of the park for me.
I think there’s a good chance Kiki could make the finale just because the judges seem set on Jenna, plus there hasn’t been a ballroom dude to make it into the finale since Benji, I think? I agree about his solos, but I’m just so tired of him skating by. It would just seem odd for them to push for Kaylee in the finale when they’ve been very lukewarm to her thus far, even when she didn’t deserve it.
I guess you’re right about Mark technically having the same dance for three weeks and I should have known better than to think this voting audience would appreciate their maturity and chemistry. Ugh.
(Part 1) Lol at you pointing out that Kiki did not point his feet once in that routine. At the end I saw his feet and was like "don't make me regret thirst-voting you last week." I think Mandy Moore knew exactly what she was doing having him be shirtless for the routine this week. Hell, I almost thirst-voted him again, but I couldn't overlook the feet and the way his body didn't adapt to the contemporary movement at all (those turns were so ballroom).

Kiki literally danced it like a rumba. I use “dance” loosely since he was mostly just a forklift. It’s not even that I hated the routine. I thought they had good chemistry and it was very pretty, but I am just so frustrated at the judges blatantly overlooking the fact that he didn’t do anything but cart Jenna, who is not competing, around the stage.
Did they even fly out the entire top 20? I feel like they didn't. Asaf lives in LA anyway, so he didn't need to travel to do that segment, and we've only seen dances from people in the top 10 (with replays of dances that included dancers outside of it). I think they legitimately only brought back the top 10.
We saw them standing there at the beginning before they introduced the top 4, and we saw the pictures on instagram, so they’re all there. I guess they were just...hanging out backstage.
