me, a person who enjoys singing, reading Pyrrhic: ...is this f*ing play about us—
OKAY but— get this. I had a long discarded genshin isekai au where reader carries a part of a goddess' soul. The story progresses as the goddess demands reader to visit the archons and help her (the goddess') gain her memories back.
Now, I deemed Euterpe the "goddess of harmony". And when I say harmony, I'm referring to two things: harmony as in the peaceful state, and harmony as in the musical component.
She ascended into godhood after stopping a war from brewing with a song. I based her abilities off of sirens, where she can 'charm' people with her voice, either by speaking, singing, or playing an instrument.
Why she died and wanted to use (name) a vessel was from her losing her followers. Her first mishap was from the archon war, to which they excused it for her not being good in combat. The second time was the fall of the godless nation, where everyone was convinced she was a fraud, and it solidified her distaste towards the archons, because what could she do in the face of them? Much less Celestia?
On a lighter note, she has an unspoken rivalry with Barbatos, and is iffy about Zhongli as she remembers him during his time as Morax, but since she lost some of her memories, all she's left with is this 'bad hunch' whenever (name) gets near them.
At a certain point in the story, I wanted Euterpe to take control of (name)'s body just to give them the death glare once she remembers why she doesn't like them, lmao. Also, if they're disguised as mortals, (name) would be the first to find out because Euterpe will be grumbling inside their head, and (name) has to pretend to not know anything, at least for the first few interactions.
Paimon: I'm gonna call you... tone-deaf bard!
Euterpe, in (name)'s head: more like tone-deaf archon. City of song would've been better off in my hands—
Venti: You okay, (name)? You've been staring an awful lot, hehe. Like what you see?
Euterpe: absolutely not. stay away from my vessel—!
Zhongli: *goes on a rant about a historical fact*
Euterpe, again, in (name)'s head: This... is Morax??? I suppose it is nice to see him grow into a knowledgeable and civil person. Doesn't negate the fact he killed thousands before—
Zhongli: (Name)? Are you alright?
(Name): *sweating intensifies greatly*
Man that took a while to type out. I went on a tangent there. Sorry for spamming your inbox djjexjejxke
I've always been fond of the 'vessel' trope, like, no kidding.
SMITE is really MC as Sabito's vessel and there's thing with Fealty, and that thing with Covenant- and Tyranny and Fatalism and like, this one whole event in my drafts lol-
SO ALL IN ALL, this is an incredibly lovely idea. Also, I like the name so much? It's so.. it sounds goOd when you say it ahdjahdjhas
And I can see why there's the unspoken rivalry with Barbatos goodness moi 😩
