~ Dates with Adam Glenn ~
Adam loves being a date planner. He will happily take all the responsibility planning dates for you both. Not only on Earth, but Eternia too. Especially now he’s home and has his beloved Sword of Power, he wholeheartedly puts his all into arranging dates. Instead of forgetting he was meant to meet you at the Italian on the corner because he thought he found the sword.
On Earth:
Your first date with him is after work one day at a cosy restaurant. He’s wearing a blue button down with dark wash jeans, his gold locks brushed neatly behind his ears. He looks like the cutest boy in the world.
He drops his tomato pasta down his shirt that night and the two of you are in the restrooms for almost half an hour trying to scrub it off. It turns out he’d missed his grip on his spoon because he was looking at you. That never changes.
Dates after that— if organised by Adam— always include eating out (not in that way, yet…) but if you organise them, you both find yourselves cuddled up on his sofa with takeout.
Adam always pays. He won’t let you argue with him. Even if he can’t afford something, he will make it work.
Sometimes you go straight to his room because Hussein is sobbing through a romcom again and to Adam, it’s really fucking annoying he doesn’t like it.
He’s never been someone who sleeps with someone on a first date. Or second, or third. Intimacy is totally uncharted territory for Adam until he meets you and he’s quite shy when it comes to the idea of it.
He becomes your boyfriend before you ever discuss it.
“I want it to be good for you, whenever you’re ready, I’d love to make love to you.”
The sincerity in his eyes never ever leaves your mind.
Hunting down his sword is another date that comes a little later. It’s never boring or a burden, and that makes Adam fall even harder for you. You want to help him go home.
On a date after a failed sword search, he’s a little out of it, pushing his food around his plate but trying his hardest to forget his own issues to make it good for you.
On nights like that, the only thing that works is stroking his hair and pressing kisses to his head.
You always reassure him that dates don’t have to be flashy or expensive.
He asks if you’ll go to Eternia with him. You say you don’t want to impose.
“Not want you there?” He blinks as if you’ve just told him the sky is green. “Baby, you’re part of my home. I wouldn’t know what to do without you.”
On Eternia:
Once he finds the sword and saves Eternia, you wonder how you’ll be able to go on dates with him now your man is a full-time Prince™️.
He always, always makes time for you. Date planning is something he takes seriously. He thinks of all the things you like and how he can make them part of it.
There’s the hot springs evening where he packs a small evening picnic and walks you up to where the water runs warm and moonlight hits the surface just right. Clothes come off gently and you both stay out there for hours.
Then the market, where he buys you an Eternian necklace because he ‘thought it looked like it should be yours.’
“I— it was nothing, I just thought, y’know, you’d like it and it’s pretty, and— I mean I could take it back—“
You’re quick to reassure him you love it. He blushes.
He loves anything that involves showing you the beauty of his home, watching your face light up at everything you see. It makes him feel warm inside.
Adam also loves to take you stargazing. His dad taught him a lot of constellations as a kid— one of the fonder memories he has of him— and on Earth, Adam would try to remember all of them so he’d never be alone. Now he teaches you, helps you pronounce the names and tells you the stories behind them.
“See that? Over there. My dad always used to tell me it’s a ladder that heroes climb to get to Preternia. Cool, huh?”
Sometimes Adam goes quiet and gets in his head a little because the nighttime makes him feel so nostalgic and wistful. He’ll look at you and quickly smile, muttering an apology.
Or other times, you look over at him and he’ll just be looking at you like YOU are the star.
He is so thoughtful. He’ll pick you a selection of flowers every single time just so he can see how they make you happy.
Adam is quite a touchy lover. He always likes to be touching you somehow, whether it’s a hand on your lower back, your arm linked through his, he is a loverboy through and through. Of course he’s very respectful too. He would never do anything if he thought you wouldn’t like it.
Dates often end in slow kisses (or in your shared quarters in the castle…) and Adam will always check you’ve had fun.
“Did you like it? We— we can do it again, if you want. Or something else. Doesn’t matter. As long as I’m with you.” 🥰
Sometimes your dates do go a little lot further, whether Adam’s had a busy few days being He-Man and you haven’t had much time with each other lately, or maybe you just feel like being intimate. He’s such a gentle lover. (More on that soon…? 👀)
When Adam is sweaty and dirty after a battle, he always thinks about your next date together and it gives him the strength he needs. <33
