My entry for this month's Character Design Challenge. "We can train tomorrow, who knows if we can nap tomorrow?"

So I saw a Masters of the Universe! Super fun and nostalgic. And yes when Cringer came on the screen I did squeal, “kitty!”

If you had told me I would one day be doing fan art for He-man I probably would’ve asked you if you meant She-ra. I’m pretty sure She-ra was the first fan obsession of my life.

And since I’m 100 years old and fandom years I do mean the original run of She-ra.

But since She-ra was He-man adjacent I liked He-man too. I was lucky enough to have a he-man and battle cat action figures. I had one called battle scar he-man and he had a rotating plate in his chest to show an ax indent to his breastplate.

I wonder if I still have them in my childhood bedroom?

Anyway I thought the film was great. I love the actor who played Adam he had such a sweet vibe about him. I thought the costumes were amazing and I really liked that it didn’t shy away from the fact the source material was an 80s cartoon. Lots of references to the tv show. It was a fun time at the theater!
