Prince Félix of Luxembourg, Princess Claire of Luxembourg, Princess Amalia of Nassau, Prince Liam of Nassau and Prince Balthazar of Nassau with their dog pose for an official portrait to celebrate Princess Claire's 41st birthday -March 21st 2026.
• Prince Lee Felix, son of King Minho, raised at court.
• he’s always polite and kind to whoever works at the castle and be’s knows n as the “fairy Prince” or the “kind Prince” because of his beauty and behavior
• you two meet the day of your arranged marriage. Sometimes politics is too strong to be challenged, so you meet on the altar, both nervous but both set on fulfilling your commitment.
• the wedding ceremony goes smoothly and you’re surprised at how gorgeous pretty he is in real life. Photos haven’t been photoshopped and portraits didn’t need to pass under the strict editing of the royals, he really looks like a Fairy Prince, the name deserved. You only hope that’s the only characteristic akin to fairies, seen their ability to manipulate words to avoid saying the truth.
• what you fear the most is the wedding night, you’re not a virgin, but you heard nightmarish stories about Kings and Princes forcing themselves on their spouses. Felix proves (again and again) to be a good man. He walks you to your rooms and with a gracious bow he wishes you good night and leaves you alone to get ready for bed. It’s the same the night after, and the one after that, and so on.
• you two spend your days together, he helps you getting aquatinted to the castle, the court and their customs. And in the meantime he tries to get to know you. He has infinite questions about you: your favorite colors, food you like, where would you like to travel to, your hobbies and passions, which ice cream flavor you prefer, your shoe size and so on…
• you’re married for a month but you never kissed, except for your chaste wedding kiss. He’s not shy with his affection, though. He often reaches to fix your hair, to remove lint from your shoulder or he simply squeezes your hand quickly when you say something that makes him laugh. God, his laugh is so cute and real. It’s been a month but you already have feeling for your husband.
• physical affection is not the only thing he offers. He gives you gift after gift. Sometimes it’s something as simple as a flower picked during a walk in the gardens, a sweet he knows you like from a bakery in town; others, it’s fancy things: he gifted you ruby earrings, a pearl necklace, a collection of rare books, a ball gown with real diamonds on the corset.
• you often try to reciprocate his gifts and attentions, but it almost seems like he prefers giving more than receiving. He’s always happy to receive something from you. And even if you don’t know, he safeguards everything you ever gave him like it’s the most precious thing in the world. Included the origami flower you made once.
• one of the things that make you both happy is your complicity. You become friends, talking about everything and laughing together. Your nightly runs in the kitchen get habitual, mostly after a day you couldn’t spend together. You talk and he bakes, or he talks and you cook. It’s your way to decompress and being able to do it together is the most importantly thing.
• Minho starts to call for numerous balls. So many balls. You have now more ball gowns than you ever though was possible. Felix says it’s weird how often there is a ball at Court, maybe it’s Minho’s way to court someone? Did he meet someone he’s interested in? But after every ball, Minho roll his eyes when he gets info on you still sleeping in different rooms. Does he have to step up his game?
• Luckily he doesn’t have to. The next ball has many dignitaries from other countries as guests and one of them, a tall and handsome guy, asks for a dance. You accept because it’s part of your role, but when he holds a bit too tight and shuffles his hands a little too close to where he shouldn’t, you look around, trying to find your husband’s eyes in a silent ask for help. You don’t have to search for long because he’s already behind you, politely but firmly asking to dance with you. You relax in his arms, but he’s still tense. “Felix, I’m fine. He was just too-“
• “I’m not fine”. He never speaks in this tone, furious and clenching his jaw. “No one gets to touch my wife like that.” His gaze is fixed on you, and after month you finally realized you’re not the only one having feelings. Not caring of rules and appearances you grab him by his hand and guide him to a less crowded room to kiss him. The kiss is messy and hungry, but you both need to communicate too many things with it. Surprisingly, Minho doesn’t want so many balls anymore…
• your first night together ends with you both submerged in a warm bubble bath (thank god for rich royals who can afford spacious bathtubs), cuddling and tracing shapes on each other’s body. His neck and chest are littered with marks, the rest of them are covered by the water, but you know they’re there.
• he insists on having a serious conversation about what this means, how to navigate being in love with you wife once you’re already married. You decide on at least a weekly date outside of the castle, just the two of you. You talk all night and when you fall asleep, just when the sun is rising, it’s one in the other’s embrace…
“I think Nikolai and Felix got alot of backlash and mockery when they started modelling because it was unorthodox than what was expected of him because he was the first of this generations royal spares and grandchildren to come of age meanwhile immediately after him we've had several more doing that like leah (modelling), victoria federica (modelling), emmanuel of belgium (dj-ing and football) and now sverre magnus(film company) and there will be many more. That's what happens when you decide to slim monarchies, you can't control people who don't receive tax funding. 🤷” - Submitted by Anonymous

CHAPTER TWO
The entire room was watching you now. Their eyes pierced and pulled you apart limb from limb. Everyone in town was here. And now everyone in town had read the latest gossip.
Your sister made her way to you and gently placed her hand on your shoulder. She didn't say a word but her face told you how awful she felt for you. She was the only one who truly knew about your feelings for Chan. And she was the one who covered for you when you snuck out to meet him under the cover of darkness.
The last person to enter the room was your groom to be. He stood silent for a moment, pamphlet in hand. His pressed white suit layed perfectly across his slender frame. When he began to walk towards you, the room divided and split like The Red Sea. The only sound that could be heard was expensive shoes against fine marble floors. His eyes never left your face as he took one final step in front of you.
The room hung heavy with anticipation while wedding guests waited to see what the newly disgraced young man would say. Your breathing was beginning to become staggered as the intense grip of your corset made its presence known. All you could do was stare while you watched Felix's mouth part and open, ready to speak.
"Why is everyone just standing around?" He turned his body towards the crowd of people. "We've got a wedding to get to!" He smiled warmly and gave a knowing look to the staff, who immediately understood and began ushering people to the outside courtyard.
Felix then turned his attention to you. He leaned into the curve of your neck and whispered we need to talk. You nodded your head and allowed him to lead you into a nearby room, your Father's former study, and watched as he closed the door behind him. He stayed by the door for a few moments, gathering his thoughts and perhaps even his dignity.
"I can explai-" you began.
"Here's what is going to happen, princess," Felix's tone had changed from the sunny disposition you were used to. Your heart fluttered for an instant.
"Princess?" You snapped. You had changed your tone as well.
"We're getting married today. This union is going to be fortuitous for both of our families. It is what must be done." He spoke while adjusting his shirt collar in the mirror on the wall beside him. He checked his cufflinks and fixed his hair.
You scrunched your nose at the bluntness of his words. You knew that this was the best choice for your family. You didn't need him telling you that. You watched him adjust and fix and prim in the mirror. He truly was gorgeous. And that fact alone made your blood boil. You loved to look at him. And you worried that he knew that.
Felix turned sharply toward you. He sauntered over to you as if nothing bothered him. As though he had completely control. He stepped close to you, so close that you faltered slightly and landed against your Father's writing desk. Felix continued to lean in towards you. His face just inches from your own. His full lips parted somewhat as your chest instinctually pulled into him. You had never been this close to him before. He smelled like rain in the early morning. Your heart began to quicken.
His eyes scanned your entire body. Starting at your neck, moving down your shoulders, your waist, your hips. Ultimately landing and lingering on your face. He adjusted his footing for a moment as you noticed his pants getting tighter, and something growing. It was as if he was looking right through you. Finally he spoke.
"And if it is any consolation, Princess. You weren't my first choice either."

Much to your dismay things went the way they always did. Up at the crack of dawn working everything you've got just to keep your small apartment, then it’s back home. Cleaning, cooking, and stupid chores that make life continue.
You walked over to your dryer, quickly throwing in the last load of laundry and taking the other out. The fluffy clothes blowing the warm breeze of fresh laundry in your face.
You shuffled around your couch and sat down to start folding your clothes, hoping you'd be done before the day was over.
Just as you were about to separate your socks from the rest of your clothes you heard it, a small knock. A knock so small you wouldn't have heard it had it not been completely quiet throughout your apartment.
Frustrated cause you just sat down, you got up to answer the door wondering who was knocking. You didn't have anyone in mind who would want to see you today and the neighbors around your place were always quiet.
~
When you got to the door and were about to turn the lock an eerie feeling washed over you. Not something you'd normally feel when just answering the door and it scared you for that reason.
You hesitated for a second, letting the cold metal of the doorknob turn warm in your hand, before scrunching your eyes shut and swinging the door open.
“Are you ok,” said a soft and deep voice, a voice that was familiar but only in a distant memory, like you should know them but you forgot.
Realizing you still had your eyes shut and were embarrassing yourself in front of whoever this was, you quickly opened your eyes.
There stood a slightly tall, blonde-haired fellow who was maybe a few years older than you. He wore what looked to be a Louis Vuitton blazer over a simple shirt and a pair of black pants that complimented the outfit well.
“Do I know you?” you asked, still confused why you were so desperately trying to find that out.
“Hey Y/n, I take it you don't remember me, how long has been what? Thirteen years now, so why would you?” he said laughing to himself.
“You know my name?” you questioned, now certain you knew him somehow. You don't know why but you wanted to hug him. You wanted to lunge forward, wrap your arms around him and never let him go. Instinctually you stepped closer to him, opening the door all the way to see him fully.
“Come on, you really don't know me, again I know it’s been a long time but, have I changed that much?” he said stepping closer.
You softened your eyes and thought long and hard but nothing came to mind. Nobody had ever really been there for you throughout your life and you hardened your personality in fear you'd be hurt.
Your mom died when you were young and your dad was a drunk. You don't think about your past anymore. Like when you were growing up or your teenage years cause that's where most of the pain was. You wanted it to stay that way. There were too many bad memories and not enough good ones.
“I'm sorry I left you for so long. Seems like only yesterday we were joking about getting married and giggling at each other under that old Willow. I never should've left.” he said with a frown, looking at his feet as he sighed to himself.
How did he know about Willow? She'd been there forever and no one knew about her but you and you only.
You planted her with your mom when you were just a baby and every day since you lost her you'd go out and sit under her. Thinking maybe your mom was listening to your daydreams and empty thoughts that left your head while resting there.
“How the fuck do you know about Willow!”
Just then the blonde male put his hand out, straightening his fingers and motioning for you to put your hand against his.
“What do you think this is Tarzan?” you said with a scuff.
You were going to back away but something made you stay. Something in you wouldn't let you move. The blonde male’s face was so familiar and you felt feelings for him that you couldn't explain. You wanted to cry even if you didn't know why and you felt like you loved him.
You rolled your eyes and placed your hand against his, the warm and soft feeling of his hand was comforting. It fell silent, all noise left and you got the sudden feeling of deja vu hitting you like a ton of bricks.
You remembered.
You remembered Felix, him and you under the tree, your stupid secret handshake, your childhood memories, everything you pushed away all came back at once.
“Felix?” you said trembling, a tear rolling down your cheek as you tried to waddle closer to him.
“YES Y/n, it's me!” he said picking you up and gently swinging you around, just like he did back then.
You placed your hand on his cheek, still in disbelief that it was really Felix. How could you not recognize him? He looked the same as he did when you were both teenagers. Young, stupid, in love, and under a tree throughout most of the day. Dreaming about what you would do together.
Then he left, became an idol and you forgot all about him.
“I'm sorry I was away for so long,” he said with a frown.
You shook your head and hugged him, “It’s not your fault you chased your dreams and I stayed put.”
“I missed you Y/n, I thought of you often.”
“Oh, Felix.”
You could feel it. The tension and tears rising between the two of you. A long lost love that you couldn't quite remember the details of but you decided you were going to get answers and deal with your past.
The youthful energy still radiated off of Felix like you remembered and it comforted you. He was playful and kind almost like nothing about him changed. Then it hit you.
“Oh my god Sunshine!”
“I remembered the nickname I gave you. It was Sunshine,” you said looking at the now shy and embarrassed Felix.
Felix’s cheeks turned rose red and he grinned from ear to ear with his hand scratching his neck nervously. “You just had to remember that.”
“How could I not when your smile matches it perfectly?” you said stepping in to hug him.
His arms wrapped around you tightly and he slowly swayed you back and forth like he was rocking you to sleep. He smelled like strawberries and his body was warm, everything about him made you want to melt.
“Would you like to come in?” you whispered in his ear. Taking his hand in yours just in case he tried to run away again.
“Of course, I would.”
~
He sat down on the couch folding his hands neatly in his lap and crossing his feet, he looked like a prince.
“Can I get you anything?” you asked, looking into his big brown eyes.
“No I'm good thank you,” he said with a smile. His big brown eyes turned into small crescents when he did. His eyes were like moons and his freckles like stars. You instantly were enchanted by him, you found yourself giggling to yourself when you sat down to talk with him.
“So how have you been Y/n?” he asked, his rich voice making your nervous to answer.
“I've been good just the same old thing every day. I can't believe you're here Felix, it's kinda weird.”
“Why’s that?”
His full attention was on you when he talked. You hadn't had a conversation like this in so long. It felt nice to talk with someone for a change.
“Can I ask you a question?”
“Of course you can,” he said tilting his head to the side like a curious cat.
“Do you remember anything I told you about my mother? My memories are so faded from back then but since you showed up all I can think of now is us under Willow and my mother.”
Felix’s bright smile faded into a thin line and he got up to sit beside you.
“Seeming you don't remember I’ll have to break my promise, is that ok?” he asked taking your hand and rubbing it softly with his thumb.
“I don't know what you're talking about Felix, I'm really sorry.”
“Wow you really did forget everything.”
He let out a deep sigh, clearly frustrated you didn't remember anything from the past.
“You need to give me permission, or I can't say anything.”
You didn't know how to react and now you were scared to know what he had to say. Scared to hear what happened that you made yourself forget.
“I give you my permission?”
His shaky breath hit your face, the strong smell of toothpaste accompanied it, when he spoke again.
