friendly reminder that the five different types of roses derek plants around their garden will all have thorns and scotty will have to kiss a lot of booboos because derek's too dumb and huffy to wear gloves when he prunes them because hey im a werewolf it heals but hey dumbo it still hurts!!! scott probably puts cute lil bandaids on him even though he's totally healed up uwu

IM BACK FOR THIS LORD i love the idea of derek gardening with his bare hands bc he’s like “i cant get a good grip in the gloves” and he looks like an animal just covered in dirt, getting blood everywhere when he pricks his fingers but he feels ~connected to the dirt~ so he doesn’t stop, and scott’s always like derek pls ): bc there’s blood splatter on the pansies. and derek tries to be like “i dont need bandages scott i am a creature of the night” but scott accientally bought the jumbo pack of bandaids when he meant to get a smaller pack for when stiles is around so he’s gotta use them up somehow

pssssst but like so hey so what about... what about derek hale: bee keeper. what about derek hale: i put honey on everything you love. derek hale: handmade beeswax candles; wine bottle topper edition. derek hale filling a huge plot of land with wildflowers and cleaning an infestation of bees out of scott's attic. honey coated kisses. bzz bzz

YES THIS IS SO CUTE !!! derek using the honey and beeswax for only humane and ethical things like candles and making his own lipbalm and he sees his honey at the local farmers market every weekend and everyone knows to call him if they find a bees nest bc the hales were all about bee conservation and derek kept the family job going. derek takes the bees out of scott’s attic and brings him a free jar of honey bc he might as well enjoy some of the payoff from what the bees did in his house and scott’s so thankful, keeps coming by derek’s stand and buys beeswax soap for no reason he just bought some but he likes when derek smiles at him. blah blah blah after scott stays over for the first night, derek makes him whipped honey on toast and its cute the end
