Seems like such a paradox to be asked to make a mix for a show called 'Midnight in a Perfect World' (named after a DJ Shadow track) exactly at a time where the world is showing all its imperfections. My mix aired last night on KEXP 90.3 FM in Seattle, just hours after Mr Trump entered office with his right hand in the air. I put together tunes from artists I love and who help me live in another world for just a sec and simultaneously inspire me to deal with this one.
