Prince of the City – 8/10

Starts confusing, with lots of characters. In the beginning, I forgot what the first scenes were or who was there. He is about to testify, but why does the news say the cop starts with the letter D? How can this be? Such a mistake.
It gets very tense. Mountain house scenes. Escapes.
And I could not get something. He says he made only 3 mistakes, but King said more than that. But he accepted that he was a dirty cop, so why do they still ask? He testifies again and again. Very long struggle.
But only detectives were blamed, and his partners were jailed too? They could not go to bigger roles in the NYPD, I think.
The character of Daniel Ciello is based on real-life NYPD Narcotics Detective Robert Leuci. Leuci’s testimony helped indict 52 corrupt detectives.
And could they find the murder of the cousin, for example? Or why don’t they kill Danny? Probably killing him would create an even bigger scandal and investigation, so corruption networks often avoid that.
