Rescuing Princess!Darius
Just a small author's note before I launch into this feet first. I was told about this picture of Darius in a Dress, and this is what started this all. This is specifically for Strength-Over-All, and I hope she enjoys it.
Locked away in a tower was a Noxian Princess renowned for her beauty and grace. But she had been stolen by the Demacian Lord Jarvan III with the assistance of the Guard Visecro (Xin for those who don't know the lore), when she had been barely 14. Men, inlcuding her brother had tried to get her back, but non had succeeded. The King of Noxus, a Marcus Du Couteau, said that any who brought back his daughter would be allowed to marry her, and be given lands.
There was a thief who had heard about this princess, and he was quite interested. He found the directions to the castle and started to make the journey. along the way, he grew in fame, and some splendor. But he was never seen. He kept himself in the shadows, as he slew Demacian after Demacian that stood in his way to reach the castle.
When he got to the castle, it was all quite heavily guarded. They Demacian's knew he was coming, and had fortified against his entry. The stealth the thief was known for was put to use quite well. He got to the tallest tower of the Castle and let himself into her room. The princess was dressed in a blue and gold linked dress, with a white cover over her cleavage. She was currently 18 years old and the Thief, who's name had been named Talon by the rumours, was 22 years old.
"Who are you?" The princess asked, almost indignantly.
"They call me Talon, the Blade's Shadow. I'm here to bring you home." No word of the reward, of the fact that this warrior princess would be marrying him if she liked it or not, nothing besides, I'm here to take you home.
"To Noxus?" She sounded almost hopeful.
"Nah, I'm takin' you to Bilgewater. Of course I'm takin' ya to Noxus. Where the bloody else am I supposed to take ya?" Talon's poor upbringing came out in his agitation. He looked at her, noting that her build was bigger then his own, but that was a moot point. He dashed forward, scooped her up onto his shoulder, and headed for her window, where his grappling hook still waited. Lights were starting go out as the sun came up. It had taken him longer to get into the castle then he had intended. "Hold on Princess, I'll have outta here in a jiffy." He said as swung out of the window and started to descend the rope to the rampart.
She was taking this rescue fairly well, all things considered. Then again, he also hadn't told her that they were walking yet either. "Come on Princess, this way. We're running out of time." The thief led the princess towards the wall, where he had gone over, the grappling hook wrapped around his chest again. He swung up the hook, and caught hold of a guard, hauling him down. "Oops. Didn't meant to do that." Talon smirked, knowing that he had done it one purpose to freak the girl out. It hadn't worked as she pulled the hook out and handed it back to him, and motioning for him to continue.
"Come on then, rescue me." The Princess gave him a haughty and superior look. The Thief gave a small snort and tossed it back up, hooking the wall this time. He tugged to make sure it was secure then tossed Darius onto his back having her hold on him while he climbed up the rope, grunting every so often as he shifted the girl around, so that the weight would stay even on his muscles. He got the top and let the girl off his back as he started to haul the rope up, throwing the rope over the other side to let them out of the castle.
"HALT! INTRUDER!!"
"Shit! We gotta go Princess." Talon said as he secured the hook and held his hand out to her as he stood on the wall. "Come on Princess, we have to go now!" The thief said as the princess hesitated. "Oh fer fucks sake." Talon reached over, grabbed the princess around the waist and tossed her back up onto his shoulder, sliding down the rope with her. The rope burned his hand thought he gloves he wore, but it was well worth it when he reached the ground and took off, arrows landing around him, but he heard the leader shouting not to harm the princess.
He got into the woods and set her down, only to get slapped. "How dare you!"
"You're out of there are you not?"
"Who said I wanted to leave!??!"
"Your father!!!!"
Oh this was fantastic. Now he was getting into an arguement with a bitchy princess who was looking like she was ready to cry. "Come on Princess, your family misses you." He said as he again held his hand out to her and this time she took his hand willingly and he led her on the 2 week long journey back to Noxus.
As he approached the city he started to feel very apprehensive. What if the King went back on his word? The thief could be a Prince, if he played his cards correctly. He covered the Princess in a cloak he stole from a farmer, and escorted her to the palace, walking in without a fear. "I have returned with the Princess." Talon removed the hood and showed the Princess off to everyone.
The King sat forward and nodded. "What is your name young man?"
"Talon your Grace."
"Talon, I dub you Knight of Thieves, and give you the lands to the east of Noxus, to lord over and rule as you see fit. As well, you have my daughter's hand in marriage in 2 years, so as to give her time to enjoy her family before she is married."
Perhaps the family of Du Couteau wasn't so bad after all. Talon smirked at Darius who looked at him with a different set of eyes. "Thank you your Grace. I will be premitted to visit my wife to be over the course of the two years to get to know her yes?"
"Of course you are. I would be offended if you did not. Now, allow us time alone." The King said.
Talon inclined his head and exited, being led by a servant to his quarters, where he relaxed and washed the grime off.
