Boos make portraits of their monarchs to show their love for their rulers. Another reason for the paintings despite cameras existing is that Boos will distorst and appear creepy in photographs (Bonnie is unique since the distortion only appears in her reflection if it's in the photo, they still made her a painting when she was crowned queen as it's a tradition to make a portrait of the current ruler/rulers)

Can we see what mammon looks like now post him killing his own wife

Took this as an opportunity to touch up his ref since the old one was bad, anyway Mammon is currently locked away in a vault somewhere. His soul crystal necklace and crown hidden elsewhere since they give him most of his power, the rest of his power comes from forbidden black magic which has permanently stained his hands black

Over the years Mammon learned to watch through portraits, he watched his kingdom grieve his wife, celebrate his sons and erase him from every portrait and written record. He sits in his prison stewing on how to make the world bend its knee to Boo-kind (the superior species in Mammon's opinion) but he can never act upon his schemes unless he gets out and reclaims the power he got from his crown and soul crystals. Mammon cannot get out of the painted prison his son sentenced him to on his own, he needs someone else to do that for him and a pair of young, naive royals have caught his eye

What do people who use the Boo Mushroom look like once the power up kicks in?

I used Mario as the example, Bonnie's included because Boo mushrooms have a unique effect on her

For normal people who can actually use them it makes them paler and their hair turns white (or grey depending how dark their hair is) and curls like how a Boo's hair does. Their eyes also start to look like a Boo's and their teeth sharpen into points (I didn't feel like drawing it)

Bonnie is uniquely affected because she's half Boo, it essentially makes her a fully fledged Boo for however long the power-up lasts. Her skin turns completely white and her tongue also turns green because of her Boo heritage. Her blue eye turns purple because the red of her papa Luci's eyes starts to show up a bit more due to the Mushroom's effects making her more closely connected with her Boo side. Her Boo abilities get stronger because of the Boo Mushroom as well, meaning her illusion abilities get as strong as her papa Luci's illusion abilities. She also has an easier time with invisibility and flight, things she currently struggles with due to being young and her status as alive slightly interfering with her abilities to master her Boo powers. Only downside is that she crashes after using it and has to sleep it off for a day before she's back to normal.

The the gems in the broaches Sam, Marco and Apricot wear as well as the gem on Bonnie's belt are actually power-ups made specifically for them. They have to break the gems in order to activate the power-up and it turns them into mythological creatures, here's how they look while using the power-up

Sam is a Sphinx, Apricot is based on an angel, Marco is based on Scylla mixed with a jellyfish and Bonnie is a Tsuchigumo

This power-up makes them really powerful but there is a drawback to this power-up, they get very weak and tired after using it so it's a last resort only
