Fantasy vs Reality
My favorite part of drawing those recent panels was them clearly having it backwards who should be sitting on what kind of furniture.
That poor couch is STRESSING under the weight of a 400 pound robot.
*kicks down the door* Tell me more about Princess Robot/Quincy and Chevy/Tam
Oh wow you looked at my older art where they had different NAMES. I’ll be honest getting an ask about them was already surprising but THAT was unexpected.
Princess and Chevy are a pair of gals living in a distant alternative future where Robots have- big shock- evolved beyond the need for humans to tell them what to do. Usually these two worlds live separately because Robots just wanna be left alone to do their thing and Humans are assholes but PRINCESS is an exception- Looking almost human in design. Once I have solid designs of other robots to share, you’ll see what I mean by “an exception”.
Chevy is a local mechanic/restorer of old machines and she keeps Princess running. She has no idea where Princess came from, but that’s fine because neither does Princess. So the robot girl lives with her in her shop and helps with chores and work to repay Chevy’s kindness. The name of “Princess” was originally an affectionate nickname but without a real name of her own, the robot girl decided to accept that as her name and Chevy had no complaints. They both think it’s cute.
Fun fact: “Chevy” is actually a nickname that comes from her full name. Chevalier
