Inktober 20th!

I think I actually planned to draw this last year, but I skipped a week that time.. And now I got another request - two even - for ACCA :)) So here’s little Lotta and her mum

Wait....hold up...

Did Karl Otus (Jean’s dad) ever found out or knew who Schnee was? Did Schnee ever told him about her life before/after they got married? 

I would like to think that he eventually found out about it... but there is still a possibility that Schnee never told him about it...

(also...If Jean looks like his dad with light brown hair...well DAMN...the princess really married a good looking guy. I hated how we didn’t get to see his face tho)

Can I take this moment to say how much I love ACCA’s scenery and the way it paints passersby and backgrounds? I love how it has this watercolor feel to it: the colors are all so pale and it feels like they’re darker in the center and paler around the edges, as if the ink/color spread through water (hence watercolor feel)

I also love how the passersby’s faces aren’t show, how only their outfits and hair are painted: that way, we can feel that the street is crowded, that there are people, but it doesn’t detract from the main characters on whom we should be focusing!

Also, this scene: Schnee is adorable, but it seems kinda too easy to tell Abend, her aide, to just leave and not worry about her. Besides the fact that having sworn loyalty to the King, he has to keep watching over Schnee and worrying about her, no matter what she says. But also, there’s the fact that he must have known Schnee for a long time: saying goodbye like this, and telling him to just forget about her, is hard, you know?

All in all, I’m loving this episode! We get to see more about Schnee and her personality, why she “died” at sea and how she came to give birth to Jean and Lotta, but we also see Nino’s side of the story: how he came to meet Jean, to watch over him with his father, and so on and so forth!

ACCA: 13TH DEPARTMENT’S MAFIA WARD

Seriously, though, I know black is meant for undercover or mourning, but these two look like mafiosos. And wearing black in the middle of the day while most people are wearing lost shirts and pants (living near the sea)?

That getup stands out even more than Abend’s hair...

AAAAH, GRANDPA KING IS THE BEST!

I love how he supports his daughter’s love of science, philosophy, and seeks her happiness (even going as far as to allow her to leave the castle and erase her name from the Dowa family registry so she can seek her freedom).

I also love how he comforts her in these last moments, while she may still show some reluctance/guilt over getting Abend and others involved.
