Day 60-70 - completed I've been studying on and off and trying to cram in revision before my exam date. I've got a few weeks left now. I've been so busy and then got ill which has slowed me down but hasn't stopped me! :) To motivate me i decided to go to the library last Friday and study there. I purchased a cheap small whiteboard which helped me be productive. lol It's annoying how i'm motivated by new shiny things. :D I'm adament on passing this time round so i am currenly up late and trying to wake up early. Whatever i can do to get as much information in my brain whilst working fulltime. This Friday i'm not sure if i will go to the library or just get cosy at home and study. I will decide tomorrow. I must admit a day or two in the week in an environment like a coffee shop or library is quite refreshing. It feels like i'm actually getting out rather than waking up, working, eating and then sleeping. Anyway, i hope everyone's been productive. From your fellow study buddy!
1/14/2026 - Acca
The Partner In Crime's Name Is Nino! 💙
wonder egg priority rant!! [spoilers!!!] 🌻🥚
(for context, i was rewatching WEP)
so about Ura-Acca and Acca. something ive realized is despite them being mysterious people until like episode 10-12, you still get a feeling about them based on personality.
i realized Ura-Acca seems more caring towards the girls or less apathetic than Acca.
to give some examples: when Haters are introduced, the girls are told to run or hide since the haters go after the protecters of the wonder egg people. when Ai hides, Acca almost immediately tells her the bell won't go off until they complete the mission [killing the wonder killers]
Continuing from the examples: Ura-Acca instead says he has a solution, Pomander, or wonder animals, "pets" of the protecters, except helping with the mission.
In ep 7: when Rika becomes absorbed by her depression/despair while in the egg world, her friends obviously worry about her asking Acca to tell them how shes doing, Acca doesnt tell her [Ai] instead saying "You should focus on your own battles."
Ai says "She was crying, I'm worried", Ura-Acca is the one to actually say what's happening: "Rika might be in a fix." Acca tries to interrupt him but Ai insists he tells her, he does: "Well, she's...given up on fighting."
Acca asks "Oh my..Will we lose one?", might I add he doesn't seemed too worried, like a casual conversation. which, in my opinion, is so odd. Acca and Ura-Acca created the wonder eggs, according to Ura-Acca in episode 11:
"We gathered and analyzed data on girls suicides in that age range [13-15]. There were many causes. But we wondered if there could also be another push we didn't see, one that drove them to suicide. Unless it stopped, girls will continue to end up dying when they don't have to."
And when I say Acca is apathetic. I don't necessarily mean it in a rude or bad way, he seems more of it while the dummy rather than while a human. I think what happened with Frill, to his wife, to his daughter, could've been a cause of this apathy.
In episode 12, Ai refuses to let Leon [her pamander] out because Frill's creations, Hyphen, Dot, and Kirara will brutally kill him and force her to witness it. Acca INSISTS she releases him despite her saying she doesn't want to.
However Acca says "You may have imprinted on him as his mother, but we're his creators." Ura-Acca [assumingly] tries to stop him, but Acca forces Leon out anyway. Acca says "Enough hesitation. Crack the egg. Remember that is your top priority."
in ep12, Rika tries to go back to the underground garden. Ura-Acca doesn't let her in, saying "There's no need, her mission's over....With hatred, she'll only be taken by Frill."
Acca: "We can't know that for certain unless we try, though."
Ura-Acca: "Come now, don't you care what happens to that girl?"
Acca: "She's aware of the risk."
Ura-Acca: "I'm starting to think that you don't actually care about anything Involving Frill, do you, Acca?"
Acca: "What do you mean?"
Ura-acca: "I suspect all you want to do is save Himari. [Their, biologically Acca's daughter]"
Acca: "Perhaps, Ura-acca. Then again, isn't that how we've always been?"
[Ura-Acca doesn't respond]
I think if the show continued, we'd probably get an answer on whether Acca did care about the girls
Onto Rika, ep 7. This is genuinely the most emotional ep for me. So one of the reasons Rika was "absorbed" by her depression was that she wasn't able to find/meet her father. despite that, we as viewers are able to figure out who her dad is, and she finds out too without realizing it
ty if you read all this

I don't know anything about this anime, but it's their favourite character. I just read their wiki.
all right everybody it’s that time of year again!
WATCH ACCA 13!
it’s a short, sexy, multilayered mystery with food as a secondary character and huge BL undertones. watch in JP and make sure to never skip the episode previews. thank me later 💛💙
