i have a post in my drafts rn that i wrote and never published about how happy i was before i found out i’m ugly and how blissful life was before i knew shame. its so sad to think about how happy we would be if we werent taught to hate ourselves

I get what you mean though. I feel the exact same. No one's ever told me I was ugly but there were specific things I would get tortured for endlessly that made my grades and social life suffer because I lost all of my confidence. I was always afraid of being made fun of or gossiped about or even beat up that I couldn't focus on anything else.

Any time before the fourth grade. That was the first time I was ever bullied and when I learned how to be self conscious and paranoid. I have very fond memories of my young childhood, but then again it sometimes doesn’t really feel like me because I’m so far detached from that time.
