Hanna had never been out of the tower. She had seen the floating lanterns ever since she was a little girl and wanted to go see them up close in person. But mother forbid that from happening. She always told her ‘mother knows best’ and that the outside world was a terrible place. So when Caleb Rivers showed up she saw this as her chance to see the floating lights -- a chance to figure out why they only appeared on her birthday.
After going to the pub the “Snuggly Duckling”, they had to escape and Hanna found herself injured. So here they were at a hospital so she could get stitches and then be on their way. Biting her nail she was scared. Stitches? What could those possibly be? Deep down she had a feeling her mother was right. In thought she did not notice the person in front of her and bumped right into her making herself fall.
“I’m so sorry. Sometimes my feet do all the walking.”
