I recently got into LOTR and I must say, I appreciate the sads war you are waging. It is helping me steel myself against sads (or at least better prepare for them) early on in the transition to this fandom. Consider my tears a sign of thanks (and also my emotions. oh my goodness you are good at this sads thing, not that i am surprised after knowing your work in Les Mis fandom).
