Hi guys. I have been trying to use the app printicular for several days now. At first I was super excited by a new app that would allow me to cleanly and easily print instagram photos at walgreen's. My test prints were good quality, and I was even ok with paying 2x the markup for prints (40 cents each, which is already outrageous since regular 4x6 prints are under 20cents, and all they are doing is making the cut 2 inches shorter on the roll, per print.) as long as it was easy and quick. Now after fighting with this app for days, I am so infuriated and have lots so much time from doing actual work that I don't even want to use it at all. Let's go over the issues: 1. Doesn't allow any sort of "load by date" or filtering at all on Instagram photos. Forces you to load all photos if you want ones from the very beginning of your stream. This takes on average of 10mins as I manually infinitely scroll down to reach January of last year. 2. Crashes when loading a large amount of photos. I have thousands in my Instagram stream. Over 1000 from last year alone. 3. Uploads the print resolution from your phone storage, so there is no way to log in via someone else's phone to access your account. If you have an older phone and want to use the brand new iphone of your partner: tough. 4. After doing a couple of uploads it will start to "lose" photos, ie be unable to upload them claiming they have been moved. Forcing a refresh on the entire stream will not fix it. Trying to reupload the file will not fix it. Only rebooting the entire app (and thus losing all your saved photos or forcing you to buy in small batches.) 5. After doing several uploads (oh yeah, only allows choosing and uploading of 5 files at a time) it will crash. WILL crash. losing all of your choices, and on rebooting the app will not have saved those you already chose to print. 6. Despite printing via walgreen's, and claiming to accept walgreen's photo coupons: it actually does not. Since I often print through walgreen's I have a stack of photo offers and online coupons in my inbox since they continually offer them. None of them work through the app, even if they work through walgreen's website. 7. Randomly choses prints way far up your stream to add to your print order. Not only does this prevent you from choosing all 5 prints (remember only 5 at once!) but it then forces you to pay 40cents per mistake because you can't unchoose photos after having uploaded them. so the choice is either scroll up 500 photos to try and uncheck the shot, risking a crash, or just pay the 40cent tax every couple uploads to be able to choose your photos. 8. Did I mention takes 10mins to load back to the point where it crashed on you every time? 9. Does not load more photos once you choose some to upload and buy. This means if you want photos from your vacation last year AND a more recent event you can't get to the more recent event, choose, then continue to your vacation. Instead you have to load enough to get to your vacation, choose, then work your way forward risking a crash. 10. There is no list anywhere of what you already purchased, so in the event your app crashes constantly while you make small orders you better keep track of what you purchased or you will end up repurchasing things two or three times at 40 cents per print. This is only a small list of issues I have run across in the 3 days I have been using this app. I have post-it notes scattered all over my room with cryptic notes as to what I have and have not bought. I have several envelopes with duplicates all over my desk. I am impatiently waiting to try and purchase the same prints I have been trying to purchase for the last 3 hours without this stupid app crashing. I have spent over $50 so far and have barely anything that I actually needed. I am 100% ready to give my money to printstagram instead.
