Meant to post this sooner, but unfortuately have been swamped with un-fun HW by evil teachers grrr...Plan to give a full report on convention with videos in a fully edited compilation video [LATER], but for now...
CONVENTION WAS AWESOOMEE!!!!! For my very first, had an awesome time! Got the chance to network and gain experience with other artists; but most importantly, I met a ton of awesome peeps who are now followers!! Growing the fanbase!! Felt like we were one of the smaller booths in comparison, but apparently our quality (plus my bubbly personality) kept people coming back! There were about 3 groups that just kept revisiting us to just chat and nerd out cuz they were bored, so I would entertain them lol! Glad I could be silly and fun for you guys! X3But in all honesty, I was just so happy to be a part of this even that I didn't even care if we made any money. But that was the icing on the cake! Not only did we break even, but we went well over and made a decent profit, which was well beyond my expectations (if you want specific details message me l8tr, don't wanna tell the world how much I made...)!! But it was so reinvigorating meeting new people. Something about complete strangers complimenting your art just gave me that confidence boost to snap me out of my dreaded art block!! I now feel reinspired...CRYSTAL KITTY K WILL RISE AGAIN, THAT IS A PROMISE!!!
So I just want to thank every single one of you guys so much, this would not have been possible without your support and donations. I was able to make a profit, and have the time of my life thanks to you guys. This was definitely a once in a lifetime experience, and I certainly intend to attend more in the future. Meaning, I'm still accepting donations on my 'gofundme' page up for anything art related in the future, such as future conventions/art supplies/software. Basically, if any of you guys want to help me succeed as a thriving artist, and are able and willing, your donations are very much appreciated to my future artistic endeavors.
But lastly I must mention, thank you so much to 'Alyssa Gerwig/WalkingMelonsAAA' on Youtube (yes Im putting you on blast lol :3) who made this all possible by helping me get a ticket in and catapulting this entire thing. As my idol, mentor, and dear buddy, who gave me advice throughout this whole process; THANK YOU!! :)
