Prison farms state by state: California
I'm going to start up this blog, like many others, about life inside prison, but unlike many others, focused on prison farm life, by going state by state, starting on the west coast.
California inmates wear blues, like they have for a long time, though the prison jeans are now more scrub like and have an elastic waist, and the shirts are definitely more scrub like. I'm not a huge fan of prison scrubs. I think they work fine in infirmary or solitary settings, but even though prison scrubs can be tougher and a bit less nice looking that medical scrubs, I don't think they are appropriate for hard labor. Looking at costs, prisons don't seem to save a whole lot on scrubs as opposed to work pants and shirts or even jumpsuits. Scrubs convey an image of "house and forget".
Denim, especially heavy weight denim, is where it is at. At least California still wants them look like they are in blues.
I have been answering a lot of questions lately, so I wanted to throw in a small AI series I am working through.
The idea when I started this was to hear your thoughts and decide if it should continue. Perhaps even spark conversation!
This was set up to be San Quentin in about 1961. (Full disclosure: I know there are AI fuck ups. Keeping continuity with my AI generation engine is a nightmare. Some of the descriptions on these were nearly a page!)
Brand new death row inmate begging for help.
The guard will likely give him a solid "SHUT THE FUCK UP!"
Hello everybody!
As you can tell, I am finally back to posting after a bit of a hiatus. Trust me when I tell you the hiatus has mostly been caused by prison and roleplay related issues!
I have actually spent some time in roleplay and locked in a cell!
And some alone time contemplating some complicated decisions about future role play.
We have also had a LOT of work associated with our role play spaces! A few of my friends have pushed me to the edge of my skill set and I have done projects that I NEVER would have imagined! More details on that later!
All of this is my way of saying that I have 578 unanswered questions in my messages inbox. I am working towards answering the vast majority of those questions. And please keep the questions coming! I love them!!!
