So I shared on a genetic group on fb how Chrissy’s genetic results don’t match her phenotype. It’s been concluded that she has either a new, unknown or untestable genetic mutation. Now there is a researcher interested in adding Chrissy’s DNA to a long term study on white patterns! It may be years before I have answers but I love that I can contribute to the future of horse genetics.

New grooming tip from Chrissy and I! Find one of these bad boys at your dollar store!! I would suggest the bristled ones vs the sponge ones. These are AMAZING for washing legs, especially white ones! It delivers shampoo straight to the leg, no more dripping and half of the shampoo hitting the floor! Great to scrub with and get down to the skin to lift all the dirt up! Best part? You can use a different shampoo! Which is perfect for horses like Chrissy who have a coloured body but white legs! So you can put a whitening shampoo in the scrubby and use your normal shampoo for the rest!
