That was him, wasn't it? The man broadcasted on so much of Chicago's personal media.
The job he'd been given, Garrett's reason for traveling to Illinois in the first place, had been done and was since over with. A simple contract; retrieve an heirloom from a local mansion in the more suburban district of the large metropolis -- he forgot the name, now -- and be on his way. While he'd already collected the wired monies, he lingered in the city upon pure curiosity. In the duration of his stay, he'd found himself becoming rather annoyed at the repeated name. Aiden Pearce, this, Aiden Pearce, that. Seemed to be all anyone spoke of.
But now, walking along the side walk, purely by chance, he assumed, there he was.
Rumors said he worked solely from his phone. The thief pickpocketed a few phones in his time. As technologically advanced as it was these days, it was easy money. Spending cash, honestly. His phone, though, he mused, would be worth more than spending cash. If, of course, he could find the right buyer. And he always did. Now, just to get it away from him. Following behind, he approached the 'vigilante' whatever the hell that really meant, with a casual demeanor, walking along side him.
"Aren't the police after you? Pretty ballsy to be walking out in the open like this."

The hum of electronics reverberated off the walls of the open residence; the hypnotic sound more natural than actual silence. It would have covered the sound of the intruder in her space, too, if the echo of a shuffle from behind hadn't broken up the continuous noise.
Craning over the arm of her chair, sen7inel peered behind with a look of haunted suspicion played across her face.
"- -- --Hello?"
"It's not the severity of punishment that deters criminals - it's the certainty."
"Couldn't agree more."
