Little more work on this thing.
Just to show I did something today. It's not full size, just a screenshot from inside PyxelEdit. ...it is still not done. I can use it as the beginnings of a tileset when it's finished so at least there's that. Also, I am learning about readability and how to shade better and also that eight colors are very difficult to work with. Especially when one of those colors can only be used for interactive objects *when* they're being interacted with. >.> Anyone keeping to actual color restrictions are wizards. Pixel wizards.
Getting a mockup together, going to figure out how this thing is supposed to look.
Hopefully be able to get back into it soon.
It’s in the engine!
It’s all pixels right now, as I have the office already and might as well play with it. Probably try to 3D the backgrounds later though.
Nothing moves or anything yet, just wanted to share that I am doing the things again. Slowly. Because summer is horrible and I am a mess.
Testing out setpiece modeling.
I can’t model a frog yet. It’s just taking me too long to wrap my head around it.
I’m most comfortable with pixels, so I think I’ll just stick to the style I wanted in the first place and maybe try modeling the setpieces with a pixel shader or just use them as bases and pixel over them to get the angles right.
I don’t know.
What I do know is I like the pixel mockup a lot and I want the game to look like that. So I’m going to try to model this office, see how quickly I can manage it, and if it goes quicker than pixeling it all did I’ll find some shaders and make the backgrounds 3D with 2D sprites.
If it does not save me time, I’m going full 2D and seeing how Unity handles isometric movement.
Because it is frogtime and I want to just make game now.
Croak has a ref sheet now! ^.^
Croak is not a father, wherever did he get that mug?
